Monologue — Dedicated to a Friend Like You

“Friendship means understanding, not agreement. It’s forgiveness, not forgetting. It means the memories last, even if contact is lost.”

I didn’t see it coming. She never mentioned anything to me. (Soo bad, hmp!) Never did I know that she’s leaving (kinahanglan pa jud ko i-surprise?) Well, yeah! I was surprised! Really surprised! I was even speechless when she told me about it. I am not the kind of girl who cries easily, but when I learned about it, I could feel it. I could feel the tears wanted to escape from my eyes. 😥 But she’s there. She would misunderstand those tears if I would let them out. She would think I’m too selfish. I held it, and I am holding it until this very moment. I knew this time would come. (Dili lang jud ko ready.) I understand that she’s leaving to chase her dreams. (Gukod pa more! 😛 ) I knew she is also having a hard time. I could see it! I could feel it! I could see her eyes gloom in tears. I knew she’s sorry for leaving, but she’s left with no choice. 😥 (Otokeh, Kimmy?)

I decided. I’m letting her go. (huhubels) 😥 This is not the end… She is a good friend, I know she will always be. I’m holding on to the memories that we shared together. I know she’s not forgetting, too. 🙂

Hi, there!.. :) I'm Emz, a frustrated writer/blogger from a far-flung place of Cebu, Philippines. I love reading and writing, and if there's two things I can't live without, it would be my pen and my notebook. I have the love for food and travel. I am optimistic and I am a dreamer. Thus, Thought Diary is more like me. Here are tidbits of life, inspiration, places, people and myself. Welcome to my corner! Thank you for dropping by. :)
