“I am not what happened to me. I am what I CHOOSE to become.”

Hello, there! Thanks for visiting Side by Side.

I am Emz. I was born with a beautiful name, Eddie Mae Sungahid. However when I started going to school, my friends and classmates would call me Eddie — which is actually my dad’s name. Sometimes, they call me Mae — which is my mom’s name, too. That was when I decided to use the name Emz. 🙂

I am from Cebu, Philippines. My parents separated when I was 18. But they’re always around when we need them. I have three siblings (two younger sisters and one younger brother) and I am the eldest. I am a proud sister and a happy aunt to my two niece and nephew (at least for now, there’s still two of them) hahaha.

I grew up in a country where I was surrounded by loving, thoughtful, supportive and religious people. I joined Youth For Christ when I was in high school, and continued serving Him as a summer Catechist when I went to college. I studied in a Christian school, too. That explains my Christian values and my strong belief in my God.

As of writing, I am 22-year old and working as an ESL teacher online and offline. I am a frustrated writer and story teller. 🙂 Blogging is one of my dream. I blog when I have a story that I couldn’t keep myself and when something inspires me to write. I don’t have a blogging experience nor have joined a workshop relating to this. But my God assured me that He will give me wisdom and knowledge to pursue this dream of mine. So, I’m keeping my fingers crossed! 🙂

Thanks for dropping by.

I feel which you can perform with some images they are driving the message property a bit, besides that, this really is good weblog. The outstanding study. I’ll undoubtedly review again.
