Furry Babies at The Dog’s Cafe.

Because of our never ending love of coffee and frappes… introducing a new cafe in town… the Lovey Doggy Dog Cafe. This is the first dog cafe in Cebu which opened some time last month.

This coffee shop is another Korean and Japanese inspired cafe. But it’s not your regular coffee shop, there you’ll get to bond and play with cute furry babies. By furry babies, I mean dogs. It’s a perfect place for dog lovers to chill and play. And hubby just loved it there.

Here is their menu. You can choose from coffees, frappes, smoothies and even pastries. Their price ranges from Php125-175. Beverages comes in two sizes — puppy and doggy size.

Hubby and I just had our dinner and dropped by the cafe. We did not bother to order pastries because we’re still full. I had cafe mocha and he had chocolate frappe.

If you want to interact with the different breeds of dogs inside the playpen, you have to buy a ticket for Php100. However, a minimum purchaseof Php100 on their pastries or drinks is required so you can buy the ticket.

Hubby was having a lot of fun. He loves dog very much, and with him being surrounded with different breeds of it…he felt like heaven. LOL

His favorite.

If you don’t want to play or get close with the dogs, they have a lounge on the second floor. It’s spacious and cozy.

Red Polo Shirt From Hubby’s Closet. | OOTD

This post features a piece from my husband’s closet.

After two minutes of persuading, I’m very glad that he lent me his favorite red polo-shirt. Well, I guess it pays to be very loved by him. 😀

dsc_12072

I don’t know why but I just love wearing my husband’s clothes. I feel so comfortable and safe with it. It’s like nothing could go wrong everytime I wear one of his.

And look at that color! Is that fiery-red? I cannot say no to it. Red is my favorite color next to green.

dsc_1225

I also love how the length fits my height. LOL. And that little slit on both sides, oh they are so cute! They made me ask my husband if this is really for men.

I’m leaving you with this:

I’m not a spoiled wife, I’m just very much loved.

What do you think of this post? Leave me some words.

Just Filipino 98 | Pasko sa Pinas (Christmas in the Philippines).

I don’t know in your country, but in the Philippines, Christmas has been on the air since last month. Christmas lights are everywhere. We hear Christmas songs played on the radio. Big department stores already have their annual holiday sale.

Most Filipinos are Christians with about three-fourth of the population being Catholics. This is the reason why Christmas is a very important holiday in our country.

In the Philippines, we observe Christmas between the months of September and February. Now, that’s a long celebration, don’t you think? We start our preparation for the Yuletide season on the first week of September. We start counting down the days ’til December 25.

paskosapinas
At home, during the first week, my mom would retrieve the Christmas tree that we’ve been using for four years. She would then assemble it in the living room and decorate it with an old Christmas light which some bulbs are already not working. She does not want to replace it with a new one because according to her, it’s not necessary. She used to tell us that Christmas is not all about the ornaments but our family to celebrate it together. Because of this, I always make sure to come home every Christmas eve.

Here are some Christmastide traditions we have in the Philippines that every Filipinos always come home to:
— Christmas caroling (singing Christmas carols in your neighbors’ front door and receive some treats)
— Misa de Gallo – a novena of dawn Masses from December 16 to 24 (Christmas Eve)
— Noche Buena (when the family gathers together to eat and share some food)
— Christmas parties and exchanging gifts
— parol (lanterns made from bamboos, woods or recycled materials)

How about you? How do you celebrate the Yuletide season in your place?

Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant | A Beach in The Heart of The City.

Yesterday, we celebrated our fourth month of being married. As much as others disliked it but hubby and I wanted to celebrate every month we surpass together. Because our schedules don’t meet so we could have an out-of-town trip, we agreed to arrange a dinner date in a seafood restaurant instead.

dsc_1142

Last Friday, I came across Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant on the internet and saw the good reviews. It is a perfect place for our date because it’s located near our apartment. I didn’t have a problem with making hubby agree, too.

dsc_1146
The entrance.

We went there after going to church. It was still daylight when we arrived and there were not many customers yet. We got to chance to take photos without photobombers. 😀

dsc_1147
The lagoon.

The entrance is a bridge crossing a small a lagoon. It’s a saltwater lagoon with small fishes in it, not to mention the live corals. The ambiance will take you to the beach because of the coconut trees plus the white sand. It’s cozy and refreshing.

dsc_1152
Al fresco.

When we came inside, friendly staffs greeted us and led us to our desired area. They have airconditioned room but we chose to dine al fresco. The place has this intimate ambiance especially when evening comes because of the sweet lighting.

dsc_1156
Airconditioned room.

The restaurant has a wide array of fresh seafood in aquariums. They have lobsters, king crab, sea mantis, etc.

dsc_1153

As much as we wanted to try everything on their menu but we don’t have enough room in our tummies. We did not order a lot because we worried we would not be able to eat all.

dsc_1162
Table is ready!

Their menu is very straightforward not letting our appetite suffer. We ordered Baked Oysters with Lemon Butter Sauce and Baked Scallops with Cheese and Garlic for the appetizer. We tried their Mixed Seafood Chowder and hubby instantly feel in love with it. We also had Shrimp with Taba ng Talangka Gravy. Hubby, by the way, ordered an unlimited plain rice. Now that’s an appetite he had there.

dsc_1174
And I devoured all the shrimps. 😛

Our dining experience was indeed a delightful one. Truly, the restaurant offers great food, great place, and great service. It feels like a beach in the heart of a city.

My Verdict:
Food: 8/10
Place: 10/10
Service: 9/10

Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant is located in Bridges Town Square, Plaridel St. Alang-Alang, Mandaue City. With Telephone Numbers:  Tel #.  (032) 344-7038 and Fax #. (032) 328-4246 You can also visit their website by clicking the highlighted name below.

Thank you Oyster Bay for making our dinner date wonderful. ‘Til next time!

Hubby and I Go Denim.

Hey, everyone! I finally found time to share a short OOTD post for you, featuring a denim outfit from hubby and me. We wore this yesterday, during our date. (More on that on my next post.)

dsc_1145
Dungaree — my style.

Denim wear is an all-time trend: from jeans, shorts, dresses, jackets to overalls. It’s a style that never dies. We see people wearing them almost every day. It’s one of the clothes that everybody should have in their closet. Why not? Denim outfits are easy to wear and easy to style. It could fit any color you would like to pair it with.

dsc_1144
Hubby’s style.

I am also a fan of denim fashion. I have posted some OOTD posts of me wearing such. Last Saturday, I found this cute dungaree in a local store and I never had a second thought in buying it. Hubby, on the other hand, has had these denim jeans earlier this year. It’s his favorite. 🙂

dsc_1177

When I told him I’m wearing the dungaree, he decided to wear these jeans. (Trivia: He likes pairing with my outfits every time we go on a date.)

dsc_1176

Did you also notice that we have the same white V-necked shirt? Yeah, right! It’s one of our numbers of couple shirts. Name the color and we have it. Lol. I hope to share some of them next time.

dsc_1175
Cheers to us for conquering another month together!

So how did our date go? AWESOME! Check out for my next post about it.

How about you? What do you think of this denim craze? Leave me some words.

Let Go and Start Anew.

Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together. ~Marilyn Monroe

BeautyPlus_20160807183030_save

There were things I tend to hold on to even when the world conspired to destroy them. It was because I was afraid of losing them.
There were people whom I refused to let go notwithstanding the pain they brought. It was because I worried that I couldn’t find someone like them?
There were memories I didn’t want to forget despite the tears I shed every time I remember them. It was because I hoped those memories to happen again?

I held on to something hoping I could still work things out. I refused to let go some people because of the fear of not finding somebody like them.

I was AFRAID. I was afraid to face tomorrow because I got used to having them in my life. I thought life would be dark without them.

But then I was wrong.

One day, I woke up with a made up mind. I decided to let go. I decided to take a chance and face the unknown tomorrow. It was hard at first. Then I met few people who are better than the ones I had before. I made memories that are more remarkable and worth remembering than the ones I refused to forget before.

I felt my subconscious jeering at me. I think it’s rebuking me because it took me a while to come to this epiphany.

The thing is, sometimes, we are blinded by the things and the comfort that we have and we fail to see the damage it causes. There are times when we clearly see them but we refuse to believe because we fear the consequences.

Everything has an end. Nothing lasts forever. If you’re hurting, cry, let go and move on. Don’t stop there. Don’t think the world stops just because you’re hurting. I know it’s better said than done. But remember you’re not the only one who have been through that. Trust that something and someone better is coming your way. You need to let go of the things or the people who don’t deserve you and make room for those who do.

I have said this a hundred times and I will not be tired of reminding you this: there are really rainy days, but it may rain for 40 days and 40 nights but it will not rain forever. Some day the pouring will stop and there will be plenty of branches where you can lay your nest and START AGAIN

I hope you’ll find the good in goodbye. And when that time comes, give yourself an applause and say “You made it!”

Inlove With The Bowler.

“How a hat makes you feel is what a hat is all about.”  ~~Philip Treacy

Is it possible to be inlove with my husband and then also fall inlove with a hat? LOL

dsc_11242

I know that sounds crazy but believe me, the moment I saw this bowler hat in the department store I was enamored. I feel in love again, this time with a HAT? When I tried in on, I never wanted to take it off. I knew I had to bring it home with me. 😀

dsc_11252

As the Lithuanian Proverb says, “…for every head a hat”. I think I found the hat for my head. I can’t wait to go on adventures with it on my head. Just thinking about it makes me feel euphoric.

dsc_11262

Over to you… what do you think?

Pointing With Our Lips | Just Filipino 99

Hello, everyone! This post is my second entry to Just Filipino category on my blog. For more information about the qualities of a Filipino, you can click on the category located on the right side of my blog or you can also make use of the search area. 🙂

turo

Pointing with our lips is another distinct quality of us Filipinos. Don’t misinterpret a man or a woman puckering his or her lips to be asking for a kiss. Or else you’ll be in trouble.

We usually point with our lips when giving quick directions. When someone asks for a certain place, we just pucker our lips towards the direction and say “Over there, the next corner.” And please be warned: it means what you’re looking for is quite far from where you are. 😀

Sometimes, when we want to say that something but we are embarrassed to say it aloud, (say something is on your head or shoulder, or your fly is open) we just point with our lips with our eyebrows raised to make you aware of it.

Knowing some of these gestures doesn’t hurt. It’s better to be aware of these to keep yourself from trouble. 🙂

Anyway, ’til next time. Stay in touch to know more qualities of a Filipino. Keep safe!
